IRISH CHOCO-COFFEE DOUGHNUTS

¦2 cups of flour
¦3/4 cup of sugar
¦1/2 cup of sugar free cocoa powder
¦1 tsp of baking powder
¦1 tsp of baking soda
¦1 tsp of salt
¦3/4 cup of milk, room temperature
¦1/4 cup of Natrel Café Irish Cream, room temperature
¦1/4 cup cooled brewed coffee
¦2 eggs
¦4 tablespoons of melted butter

2 cups of flour

3/4 cup of sugar

1/2 cup of sugar free cocoa powder

1 tsp of baking powder

1 tsp of baking soda

1 tsp of salt

3/4 cup of milk, room temperature

1/4 cup of Natrel Café Irish Cream, room temperature

1/4 cup cooled brewed coffee

2 eggs

4 tablespoons of melted butter

 

Irish Cream Icing

2 cups of icing sugar

1/8 tsp. of salt

2 oz Natrel Café Irish Cream

 

For chocolate icing, add 3 oz of grated chocolate and 2 tbsp. of boiling water.

Step 1: Set milk, brewed coffee and Natrel Café Irish Cream aside until they are at room temperature.
Step 2: Preheat the oven to 180 ° C (350 ° F) and grease the doughnut molds.
Step 3: In a bowl, mix the eggs and liquid ingredients. Set aside.
Step 4: In another bowl, combine dry ingredients. Stir in liquid mixture and mix until smooth.
Step 5: Fill the molds ¾ full and bake doughnuts for 8 minutes (or until toothpick comes out clean). Once finished cooking, wait 2 minutes and turn doughnuts out on a cooling rack.
Step 6: Combine all icing ingredients.
Step 7 (optional): For chocolate icing, grate the chocolate over a bowl. Add boiling water and whisk until smooth. Add all other ingredients and mix well. Add water if necessary.
Step 8: Once the doughnuts are cooled, dip them in the frosting and set them on the grid. For a thicker icing, re-dip the doughnuts again. Decorate to your liking.
